Empowering Women (&FLINTA* identities) to lead
Together with partners in Italy, Bulgaria, Poland, and Greece, we create spaces for leadership development, peer learning, and collective action, so that FLINTA* participants can shape the future of Europe with confidence, solidarity, and vision.
Why We Started This Journey
Through our work, we meet talented and committed people who hold communities together while facing invisible barriers, including limited access to mentorship, weak professional networks, and too few opportunities to connect local action with broader European civic structures.
We believe this must change.
What Do We Do
We support FLINTA* people in developing leadership skills, building connections across Europe, and shaping civic life.
Through focus groups, an online leadership academy, and events in six countries, we explore what helps FLINTA participants grow as civic leaders and strengthen support networks.
We bring together volunteers, professionals, and civic actors from across Europe to exchange experiences and advance gender equality, inclusive participation, and democratic engagement.
Together, we are creating the SheLeads Manifesto, a shared statement of our values, ideas, and commitments. It will be presented to EU institutions, policymakers, and civil society networks.
How It Works
SheLeads supports FLINTA* participants across Europe through learning, connection, leadership development, and collaboration
We Listen
Focus groups in Germany, Italy, Bulgaria, Poland, and Greece explore FLINTA* experiences, barriers, and goals.
We Connect
Local events bring together FLINTA* participants, role models, and professionals for dialogue and inspiration.
We Learn
An online leadership academy helps participants build confidence and navigate civic and nonprofit sectors.
We Co-Create
Our Impact
By the end of the project, we aim to reach more than 1,600 FLINTA* participants across Europe, establish a sustainable peer-learning network that continues beyond the project lifetime, and deliver a Manifesto that brings FLINTA* voices directly into EU policy conversations.
We connect and celebrate through local SheLeads events in each partner country, bringing together FLINTA participants, role models, and professionals for dialogue, mentorship, and inspiration.
But our impact is not only measured in numbers. We want FLINTA* participants to feel seen, supported, and equipped to lead, not despite being volunteers, but because of the knowledge, commitment, and community experience they already bring.
