Join the ForEveryone Team as a Federal Volunteer

An upcoming opportunity to join a welcoming community while learning, growing, and contributing to a culture of wellbeing and inclusion.

We have two open positions for Bundesfreiwilligendienst (BFD) volunteers in Berlin-Friedrichshain. This is not your typical volunteer position. Becoming a BFD volunteer means joining a welcoming community and contributing to a culture of wellbeing and inclusion. The role is paid and part-time, giving you the flexibility to study or work alongside it.

The positions start in the spring of 2026, and we are looking for volunteers who can commit for at least one year.

What is the BFD Programme?

The BFD is a German federal volunteer program and an official learning and growth opportunity. As a volunteer, you dedicate your time to supporting a non-profit organisation, while gaining valuable experience in a supportive, mission-driven environment.

You will receive a monthly allowance of €275 from the BAFZA and €200 from our organisation, as well as full health insurance coverage (worth €200-250).

The position is part-time, with a maximum of 25 – 28 hours per week. This means you can have another job alongside, but it must be less than 25 hours per week, since by German law you cannot work more than 45 hours per week in total.

If you receive Jobcentre (Bürgergeld) support, this can work very well for you. You will receive an additional €250 per month and do not need to apply for other jobs for one year. Freelance work alongside the BFD is also possible.

Who are we looking for?

We are looking for someone who truly wants to commit to at least one full year with us, working up to 25-28 hours per week.

You should be fully dedicated to our mission and eager to bring your own experiences, skills, and ideas to enrich our work. We are particularly looking for volunteers interested in supporting areas such as finance, administration, accounting, project management, project design and writing, or sales.

You should be an EU citizen or hold a valid work permit for Germany (family visa OK if the Zusatzblatt states permission to work), and have good English skills.

Only part-time students may apply. Full-time study is not compatible with the BFD programme.

This is a chance to work closely with our team, help shape our projects, and directly contribute to creating a culture of wellbeing and inclusion. All while learning new skills along the way.

Extra benefits

As a BFD volunteer, you will enjoy a creative, inclusive, and supportive working environment, including free access to our co-working space. The role also includes 10 seminar days in German, covering a variety of cultural topics. This is a great opportunity to learn, grow, and make a difference every day, and afterwards you will be eligible for further benefits, such as access to additional training and education through the Arbeitsagentur.
